I had a serious impacted wisdom tooth that was causing me severe pain every doctor I went too just kept referring me to someone else but luckily from the front desk team to the clinic team in the back everyone was so kind & welcoming & made sure I was well taking care of they really do treat you like family & they will definitely have a new pt.
Everyone who works there is friendly, helpful and willing to help us, the new patients. The waiting area is very pleasant and also kid-friendly. We were treated very well.

If I could, I would give Dr. Sagun and his assistant Pia an exorbitant 10 stars. This was my first visit to Alencar Dentistry, and I will definitely be returning for future services. I had a hole in one of my front teeth and called the Alencar office to schedule an appointment. I was able to get one the next morning. At my previous dentist’s office, I scheduled an appointment for examination of my front tooth. I took off of work for this appointment. I was advised that the front tooth needed the cavity cleaning and repair. I scheduled an appointment for the cavity repair, but the day of the appointment, the dentist informed me that I needed a root canal and would need to make another appointment for the procedure. More time from work. Needless to say, I didn’t schedule the procedure at my previous dental office. I am incredibly grateful and pleased with the exceptional service I received and the professionalism displayed by the front desk staff and the dental procedures. I have NO pain or discomfort from the root canal performed by Dr. Sagun. Thank you, Dr. Sagun and Pia.
Really liked this dentist but was left with a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended) after my cleaning today. Was told I’d need to pay a $105 deposit to even schedule the second cleaning appointment…THREE MONTHS LATER. I’ve never missed an appointment with them so I found it odd I’d have to pay such a large deposit to finish my treatment…even with TWO separate dental insurances.
So far this place is awesome! I called as new patient to set up an appointment, and they were able to fit me in the next day due to a cancelled appointment. All ladies at the front dest were very friendly and helpful, and the hygienist & doctor were so informative, answering all my questions. I look forward to returning!

i called and told them what i needed done and the lady told me they do the treatment. so i made an appointment i go in and then i was told they don’t do the treatment i needed. i go to leave and they told me i needed to pay 107 dollars!??? i said for what!? they said an exam, I NEVER GOT ONE. they told me wrong on the phone and then expect me to pay. i talk to the manger and she saying i need to pay for sitting in the chair basically. she saying that the front desk girls wouldn’t tell me they do something that they don’t do, UM YES THEY DID OR I WOULDNT HAVE MADE THE APPOINTMENT. i paid for sitting in a chair!??? - the doctor called me and handled the situation for me! i appreciate it tons, very professional with me! he understood where i was coming from.

I was a little hesitant to make another appointment here , I had some bad experiences last year here. I was a bit upset and refused the appointment and said forget it but I am pleased to say , after explaining my situation and issues Danielle left me a voicemail and was so kind and apologetic for the way I was treated in the past , I decided to give it another chance also thank you to the Doctor , and to the kindness of Rosi for offering to make me coffee while I was waiting . I am glad I decided to give it another try . The only suggestion I have is maybe for the manager to be a little more compassionate when patients have billing questions, and maybe the check out lady to be more friendly ,at the end of the day I was content with my visit.

First and foremost, walking into the dentist office gave me a feeling of comfort and familiarity. (Mind you, I'm not from VA). The dentist, I believe her name is Polly, greeted me with such a positive and pleasant manner. You could see her smile through her mask, and it made me feel good about being there. The room I sat in had such a nice window view and cool updated technology. She used a monitor that allowed me to have a visual of my teeth as she was explaining everything I needed to know. Polly is highly knowledgeable and friendly. The prices there are also really affordable!! (I have Delta Dental insurance, btw). And what really confirmed this experience was when they played one of my favorite songs, "My Jesus" by Anne Wilson. They also played some Beyoncé songs! This part may be irreverent to you, but I appreciate the mixture of music. Overall, as I said before, great experience, and great people :)

This is an amazing dental practice. Alencar family dentistry (Greenbrier Pkwy Chesapeake). I broke a tooth late 12/4. They got me in 12/5 at 830 am. My exam, xray and filling were only 384.00. I know those of you with dental insurance are probably 👀 HOWEVER, if you don't have dental insurance that was an amazing price. They are super friendly, high tech and multi lingual. Also, after my emergency exam (143.00) yearly xray exam and cleaning is ONLY 50.00! Look up their website! I'm set up for this Friday at 9:00 a.m. to have my regular cleaning and new patient service. I am so thankful I found this practice and the fact that they are so efficient and got me in so quickly is amazing given my busy schedule! Also, The little things that matter, they gave me a Christmas card and a new patient gift ❤️

This is my 3rd time to do this review for I am 81 years old and is not a computer-oriented person so it was not sent to the right place. But I am very much willing to re-do the review for I was so confident with Dr Oleivera, my new VA Beach Dentist whom I have read his name in the Who's Who of 2021. What it says in that book is what I witness in all the services done to me by Dr 0 and his staffs, in all phases of dental maintenance done to me. I first experienced Dr O's light hands when a tooth extract was to be done. I usually have fear but when I'm injected anesthesia, this time was different from my previous dentists, I had no fear, then a minute later I did not feel that my infected tooth was already pulled. The good thing of Dr O is he wants me to be sure that I am free from that "much talk-about Fosamax" which gave a bad history using Fosamax prescribed by my Primary Care Physician in IL as calcium and for more than 10 years taking Fosamax it has a bad effect on my gums. Dr Oleivera gave me a strong antibiotic before my tooth extract was done. I waited 2 weeks to consume the anti-biotic so as not to worry on any trace of Fosamax and I agreed with the team's consensus. The next left undone due to 2 years of COVID was the tooth-crowning, the next priority since I can't chew food. Dr 0 and his Assistant, Joyce, whom I feel so confident did the molding and fitting of my rebuilt crown. Joyce did what is very important to me, the mouthguard. Per advice of my COPD doctor, mouthguard can prevent me from stroke like a Sleep Apnea Gadget but is very inconvenient to use. Then Joyce made an adjustment on my lower partial as my gums receded after my 60 to 81 years old. I am able to use it now without pain after Jovce adjusted my partial because Dr O's assured me that my 20-yr old partial is still good once Joyce made adjustment and this saves me some money too. 1 was also given a first-time hygiene by their Hygienist, Pauly, after 3 years w/o cleaning due to COVID time of waiting. Again, this is another fear area but Pauly had also a light hand doing the scaling that was not done for more than 3 years. The Hygienist saw new cavity built up in the front and has to be scheduled for a separate-day treatment. Being Diabetic, I am allowed 3x cleaning, free, but usually I schedule to even 4x and pay for the 4th cleaning because Diabetics are prone to build cavities. COVID did a lot of damage in the health of people but thank God to the doctors and their assistants who help us recover to normality. I BELIEVE THE DOCTORS AND STAFFS LIKE DR OLEIVERA ARE THE FIRST RESPONDERS TO MAKE AN 81 YEARS OLD FEEL COMFORTABLE AND STILL ENJOY EATING which is very important to old folks of my age.

Hi this Juli writing this review- was the best dental office experience of my life!! It was extremely clean and bright as soon as you walk in , the receptionist was happy and helpful. The dental hygenist Nye was beyond nice and attentive and did the most extenisve clean i have ever had. SHe wiped everything down with cleaner before starting and all the equipment had plastic around it , so super sanitary. And dr alencar was so kind and reassuring. I was so nervous going in and he totally made me feel better right away! So professional but also at the same time down to earth( and funny) ! Even check out was easy and the receptionist was really nice and helpful. HIGHLY recommend this office. I am new to the area and very picky, so glad I found them. I am also having my kids go to this office too. This is the dentist office for you !

I was very nervous about going to the dentist. I walked in and it was clean and welcoming. The front desk ladies were polite and kind. My hygienist was Nhi, she was so calm and thorough with explaining each step and showing the results of what she did. She was understanding and very patient with my anxiety. I had to reschedule my appointment and the office manager was great with helping me get a new appointment without waiting for a long period of time. The hygienist asked me if I was okay periodically to make sure she wasn’t hurting me. My teeth feel and look great. My gums aren’t overly sore, like I have experienced at other establishments. A clean and relaxing facility plus a great staff makes this place 5 stars!

I normally don't post reviews. However, I will make an exception. My visit to the Alencar Dental practice was EXCELLENT and very informative. I went on (5/6/21) for a prima facie consultation for implants, to have options to choose from for this major procedure I am facing. I was anxious, nervous, scared and embarrassed...in part due to the nature of the extensive work necessary, as well as the costs. They were VERY thorough and professional...beginning with the front desk, dental hygienist, dentist and manager. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the office's decor is/was very beautiful, soothing and comfortable, which helped greatly with my nerves and fears. With all that being said...it was the office manager's transparency and compassion that was beyond what I expected. I felt that she (Valeria) was like talking to a friend...someone who understood and cares...a true blessing. Although I have not yet confirmed my dentist selection...because there is a LOT that I have to sort through. But, if all goes well on my end and with God's blessing this could be my new dentist😁. However, for any unforseen reasons that I am unable to move forward with the dental procedure(s) with this Dental practice (Alencar), I would still highly recommend them for dental care/needs. It seems that they truly care, have compassion and respect for their patients and their (our) (sometimes) dyer, emotional and physical dental needs. Keep up your great work. I’m always picky with my healthcare providers and dental is definitely a top priority as I take care of my teeth. I came upon Dr.O’s office and I gotta say his office is probably the best one out of all the offices I had been to. The Dental Hygienist was very light on my teeth and explained to me in details what was going on and how to take care of my teeth. When I had my fillings, Dr.O was did it so comfortably I didn’t even know I was getting my fillings. Everybody including the Receptionists were extremely friendly and show their concerns. Essentially this office actually cares about their patients.
